I've been wondering how I'm going to do this.  How does one hunt and kill vampires?  Where do they live?  How did they become vampires?  So much of what we know is just based on mythology.  I have to find out what is true.  That's when it hit me... you just graduated with a degree in anthropology, you idiot!  Why not study them as a new culture?

A letter came today, reminding my parents that my brother was to start school last week.  I knew that.  It was the reason we had gone camping.  The school year was about to start and my parents wanted us all together for the last trip of the summer.  

I picked up The Art of War by Sun Tzu from the library.  Supposedly, it’s this great book on strategy and tactics.  So I must be an idiot because I can’t understand much of it.  One line did make sense: 

Attack where they are not prepared, go out to where they do not expect

 

I buried my parents yesterday. My relatives and friends came to help me with the arrangements.  Everyone was very nice, but no one would meet my eyes. They all think I am going a little crazy.  That's what happens when you tell people your parents were murdered by vampires.
